With This Visa, You Can:

• Live, work, and study in Australia indefinitely
• Access Medicare, Australia’s public healthcare system
• Sponsor eligible family members for Australian visas
• Travel to and from Australia freely for 5 years
• If eligible, attend free English classes through the Adult Migrant English Program
• Apply for Australian citizenship, if eligible

How Long Can You Stay?

• This is a permanent visa
• Your permanent residency starts from the day your visa is granted

Including Family Members

• You can include members of your family unit in your application for the temporary Subclass 309 visa
• To include a dependent child in your permanent Subclass 100 visa, they must first hold a Dependent Child Visa (Subclass 445)
• Children holding the Subclass 445 visa can be added to your Subclass 100 application before the decision is made
• Once the Subclass 100 visa is granted, no additional family members can be added

Health and Character Requirements

• You and any family members applying must meet Australia’s health requirements
• You and any applicants over 16 must also meet the character requirements
• In some cases, the government may request health or character information for non-migrating family members
