Newfoundland and Labrador PNP Immigration Program

The Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) allows applicants who meet eligibility criteria to be nominated for permanent resident status.

It is an immigration process for eligible skilled workers, international graduates, and their family members who wish to settle in Newfoundland and Labrador permanently.

Newfoundland and Labrador plans to nominate up to 1,050 individuals annually through NLPNP under Skilled Worker, International Graduate, and Express Entry Skilled Worker categories.

How to apply?

• First, applicant must choose which category they belong to (Skilled Worker, Express Entry Skilled Worker, or International Graduate).
• Applicant must meet the eligibility criteria and prepare required supporting documents, from birth certificates to work experience certificates.

• Express Entry Skilled Worker: For international skilled workers who have a valid Express Entry profile and a job offer from Newfoundland and Labrador employers.
• Skilled Worker: For applicants who have a valid job offer from Newfoundland and Labrador employers or are already working in the province on a valid work permit visa.
• International Graduate: For recent NL graduates who have a post-graduate work permit with a job or job offer from a Newfoundland and Labrador employer.

Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program was launched in 2017 and is targeted for international skilled workers who have skills to contribute to the NL province economy. Newfoundland and Labrador employers can bring workers through AIP High Skilled, Intermediate Skilled, and International Graduate categories.

Through the NLPNP, the provincial government nominates individuals who meet labor market and economic development needs, offering a faster route to PR compared to federal immigration streams.
