Hong Kong Visa for Indians | Pre-Arrival Registration (PAR)

Indian nationals can visit or transit through Hong Kong under visa-free entry by completing Pre-Arrival Registration (PAR) online before travel.

For longer stays or purposes beyond short visits, a Hong Kong Visitor Visa (e-Visa) is required.

Hong Kong Pre-Arrival Registration (PAR)

Indian passport holders must complete online PAR before travelling to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) for short visits.

Who Must Apply for PAR?

  • Hold an Indian passport valid for at least 6 months
  • Intend to visit or transit (except direct airside transit) in Hong Kong
  • Plan to stay not more than 14 days

Who Does Not Need PAR?

  • Are in direct air transit and do not leave the airport transit area
  • Have right of abode or right to land in Hong Kong
  • Hold valid permission to stay in Hong Kong for employment, study, or residence
  • Are on unconditional stay in Hong Kong

PAR is mandatory before travel for eligible Indian visitors and must be completed successfully online.

If you plan to stay more than 14 days or travel for purposes beyond tourism, short business, or transit, you must apply for a Hong Kong Visitor Visa (e-Visa).

Short Stay (Up to 14 Days)

Pre-Arrival Registration (PAR): Free (mandatory online registration before travel)

Longer Stay or Other Purposes

  • Visitor Visa (Single Entry): HKD 230 (approx. INR 2,500 to INR 2,550)
  • Transit Visa: HKD 120 (approx. INR 1,300)

Fees may vary by visa type and duration. Multiple-entry or long-term visas may cost more.
